What's happened?
As a precautionary measure A.G. Barr is recalling certain 750ml IRN-BRU 1901 glass bottles from the market because of an issue with caps which may cause them to pop off unexpectedly. We believe this to be an infrequent, intermittent fault in some of our bottles. The liquid in the bottle is good and tastes as you would expect. The recall affects only 750ml glass bottles with codes shown below. You'll find the code stamped onto the neck of the bottle. The batch affected is IRN-BRU 1901, MAR 2023, C2 2082.
What do you need you do?
As a precautionary measure we are asking consumers who have the affected batches of IRN-BRU 1901 in 750ml glass, to open the bottles with care to release the pressure. As a precautionary measure, Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy UK is voluntarily recalling the above product with the specific use by date 13/02 and 14/02 due to a strong unpleasant salty taste caused by an ingredient which is part of the normal composition but that has been overdosed in the production of these batches. Ecover is recalling bottles of Ecover Zero Non Bio Laundry Liquid 1.5 litres with two specific batch codes due to a safety concern. What's happened?
Hand2mouth Ltd have decided to withdraw and recall this product due to the possible presence of salmonella, originating from a third-party supply of ingredient. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious infections and sometimes have severe consequences in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. While most healthy people with Salmonella infection will not become ill, those who do display symptoms will recover in a few days without specific treatment.

It has come to our attention that a batch of our Courgette Zucchini packs could contain a small number of seeds that could produce bitter tasting fruits.
This could be due to unusually high levels of cucurbitacins, a naturally occurring toxin that is present in all courgettes, cucumbers and peppers.
Please note that it is only packets with the letter 'I' (near the date on the rear, bottom right of the packet) that are affected - no other codes or products are affected.

We have recently become aware of a potential safety issue with the Keychain Charm, one of the gifts that comes with issue no.172. We have identified a risk of breakage where the charm may split in two which could result in exposed metal edges and present a safety risk.
This item was tested and found compliant with all relevant legislation including BSI EN71. However, we take our readers' wellbeing and satisfaction very seriously and so we are withdrawing all copies of The Official Jacqueline Wilson Magazine Issue no.172 due to the identified safety risk.
